One Embankment Wedding Review

Thank you so much for everything. We have had so many comments asking who the band were and stating you were the best band they’ve seen. You really got everything spot on, the music was so perfect and we were so happy you stuck to our song list – we know this rarely happens. The band were really amazing, what an amazing atmosphere – it’s a night we will never ever forget!

You and the team did an amazing job on the night and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our decision to have you sharing it with us. The amount of compliments that we had from friends and family was testament to that, everyone had an incredible time and despite us unequivocally saying that the two of us would not go on stage, partying with the band with our guests has to go down as one of my highlights of the night.

Your photos from the evening that were on Facebook are also incredible – There are a couple that I think we would put up in the house!

“they are simply, utterly and totally phenomenal!”

We fortuitously located Sensational Band for our daughter’s wedding in Italy.  And we have never looked back.   Firstly,  the wedding dinner (including a dinner set and then dancing) was without a doubt the best we, or anyone else attending the wedding, had ever experienced.   To say the band’s performance was outstanding does not do them service — they are simply, utterly and totally phenomenal!   On reflection we could have skipped the food (which was great!), the flowers (which were pretty!) and the drink (well, maybe…) because people were up on the dance floor from the very first song and never sat back down again.   We suggest a BIG dance floor!  Each member is a highly skilled, very talented musician and it is VERY evident in the product.  In terms of production, Richard, Jason and Anna are consummate professionals who treat your event like the once in a lifetime event it is for you — not just another ‘gig’.   This is a very different experience than booking a band through an agent and then having them show up, play and go home — Sensation Band is a very personal, collaborative experience from initial contact to the performance.  The team could not have been more helpful and patient in the months leading up to the wedding — they are a joy to work with.  Our guests were, generally-speaking, very experienced party givers and goers from the UK and the US and  comment after comment was that they have never seen a band like Sensation Band.   Needless to say we are looking for our next excuse to have a party — and there’s only one choice for the band.

The Langham Hotel Wedding

Leeds Castle Party

Dear Anna, Jason and the wonderful Sensation Band. I don’t know why I was ever worried – there are not enough adjectives to describe how brilliant the performance was from the band and the musical direction from Jason was first class.
Everybody without exception has commented on how brilliant the performances were from the band – I have never seen a dance floor fill so quickly. To please everyone when I had over 160 guests speaks for itself. It is some achievement when the 20 year old party goers are saying best party they have ever been to as well as the elder generation. You were worth absolutely every penny – this was a real extravagance for me but I don’t regret it one bit as you turned a good night into a truely magical, never to be forgotten night. I’m still getting messages of thanks from families and friends because they had such a good time and couldn’t quite believe it was a live band playing at times as they were that good! I think a few of us lost a few pound dancing so much.

My biggest disappointment now is that the night is over and I won’t get to hold another “50th” however being in a fairly new relationship you never know what else I might get to plan in the future!! ? Here’s hoping!

Hi Jason

Where to start – you must hear this ALL the time – but wow, we can’t thank you all enough. I knew all along we had booked the best in the business, but it blew me away how talented each and every member of the band is and how brilliant it sounds together. I didn’t even eat the Savoy’s wonderful food given I was so mesmerised by “Lean on Me” and “Purple Rain” during the dinner set. I even had a little cry! People were already up and dancing! Your version of Groovy Kind of Love was also fantastic and very true to the original (which was great for our over-choreographed first dance!). A highlight for me was requesting Titanium, and just jumping until I was exhausted and about ready to fall over. Everyone loved it and everyone wants to know where we found the band. Keep doing what you’re doing – it’s awesome.

Soho Farmhouse Wedding

Have had about 48 hrs without my phone due to wedding chaos and I have to say it has been a pleasure! I just wanted to thank you and your talented band for being awesome! I have written the following endorsement for you to use if you wish.

Deciding to have Sensation band perform at our Chuppah and Wedding party was one of the best decisions we made. Communicating with Anna and Jason on the run up to the day was a pleasure – Jason answered all my numerous queries with warmth and effiency and introduced himself to me on the night to ensure I was happy. Sensation band were everything we hoped they would be and then some . . . Our wedding at Soho Farmhouse rocked and having Sensation as part of our bridal team helped to make that happen. Dublin Wedding Band

Jason! Hope all is well.

Tom and I both wanted to say a massive thank you for the incredible job you did at our wedding. From our side, you were incredible with everything! You were so helpful in the run up to the event, with all the staging, sound, extra musicians etc., it was brilliant to have your input in the organisation. And then on the night itself, you were amazing. I can’t even begin to tell you the number of people who said to me, that they couldn’t believe it wasn’t the actual artist performing, as opposed to a different band altogether! My friends had a blast – and so did we. I can’t believe the Israeli dancing snuck in at the end. Not sure I loved it at the time but I survived ;). And it may well have been my friends’ favourite part, ha!

If I get any good pictures of you guys performing, I will be sure to send them on. And if you want me to write a testimonial for your site/facebook, just ask. Feel free to use comments above but you may want something more coherent!

‘A million thank yous!’

Hi Anna, we just wanted to say an absolutely HUGE thank you to the Sensation Band for playing at our wedding. It was incredible!! Truly spectacular!

The guests have been going wild over how incredible the band were – some of the comments:
– ‘the first dance song was them singing live?! Oh my god, it was amazing, I thought it was a CD it sounded too good to be live’
– ‘the band kept the soul of the party going’
– ‘best band we have ever heard’
– ‘make them play all night, it’s too good to ever end’

From the piano playing through dinner, to the live singing and finishing with the DJ, it was magical entertainment.

Now we need to think of our next party so we can have you again!!

I know it was a tight turn around but on the day everything was seamless and we are very grateful to you and the band.

London Birthday Party Live Music

Dear Jason,

It was an awesome night!  The trouble was that I was dancing so much that I didn’t speak to nearly enough people!

The band were amazing – everyone has been raving about them.  They even got my husband dancing – and that hasn’t happened in a long while!

Absolutely perfect – will try and find an excuse to hire Sensation Band again as soon as possible.  May have to be 50 again next year!

Thank you so much!!!! We have had nothing but compliments about the “amazing band”!!!! I never doubted that you would be anything other than brilliant…but you exceeded all my expectations. From start to finish you entertained the crowd. My (very drunk!!) friends danced until their feet hurt and my daughter and her friends rocked the dancefloor as only 12 year old girls know how to do! Charlotte’s stunning wedding was held at the spectacular 1 Great George Street wedding venue. The Sensation Wedding Band was made up of 14 players including our incredible 4 piece string section to really bring the tracks to life and add a touch of romance during the meal entertainment. Sensation Band were asked to provide a Duo to provide entertainment at a private Friday night barmitzvah dinner. Guests were singing along at the top of their voices to a range of songs from Israeli Folk songs to contemporary pop songs. What a great atmosphere!
